Sunset is excited to welcome students and families back for a new school year. The school thanks families who have completed Enrollment Verification and looks forward to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. Families are invited to Meet the Teacher on August 26 as the new school year begins.

We're excited to welcome everyone back for another school year! As you are preparing to send your students to school, we wanted to reach out with a friendly reminder that has helped us in the past. Please label your child’s jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts with their name. Clearly labeled items can be returned quickly, helping keep the lost and found organized. Thank you for helping us continue last year’s success!

If you have not yet completed the EVP, please log in to Family Access and complete the process for each of your students who will be returning to Sunset. It is very important that this is completed as soon as possible. Instructions for this process are also listed on the ISD website.

There are only a few days left to complete the Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) for the 2026–27 school year. Please log in to Family Access by August 14 to confirm your student's enrollment, update important contact information, and ensure your family receives school communications, emergency notifications, and back-to-school information.

As a reminder, families are invited to join us on Zoom for one of the upcoming information sessions (by grade level) hosted by our Family Partnerships team. These information sessions are designed for families new to public schools or the U.S. school system. The events are on August 24 for kindergarten through fifth grade; and on August 25 for grades 6-12. More information enclosed.
The Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) opens August 7 and must be completed by August 14 for all returning students. Taking a few minutes to verify your information helps families start the school year smoothly and that the district can effectively plan staffing, transportation, programs, and services.
