Honoring Heroes: Sunset’s Annual Veterans Day Assembly

Sunset students and staff honored our veterans at their traditional Veteran's Day Assembly. It was a wonderful assembly put on by our music teachers Marie Bean and David Johnson. 5th grade students were M.C.'s for the assembly and we had our own sunset students part of the local cub scout troop bring down the flags to begin the assembly.

The students sang a medley of songs from each military branch while honoring those in attendance whom served in those branches. It was such a special assembly and one that teachers and staff look forward too each year. Even as students were leaving the assembly, they were still singing "You're a Grand Old Flag."

Sunset also has a wall of honor as you enter the school with stars with veterans names students have brought in to honor.
