Mr. Eli’s New Book Honors Juneteenth With a Meaningful Message

Mr. Eli and student smile

Sunset’s own Mr. Eli has released a new children’s book, Little E. Celebrates Juneteenth—a touching story about heritage, hope, and the importance of giving back. The book beautifully introduces young readers to the meaning of Juneteenth through the eyes of Little E. On June 19, Mr. Eli held a special book event at Barnes & Noble in Issaquah, where Sunset students and staff showed up to hear him read aloud and sign copies of his new book. He also visited classrooms around the school to share read-alouds with students. Another reading and signing took place at Brick & Mortar Books in Redmond on Sunday, June 23, bringing the community together to celebrate this inspiring story.
