Sunset Says Goodbye to School Year and Hello to Summer

Sunset held their annual end of the year assembly put on by beloved music teacher Marie Bean. It is a favorite assembly with lots of traditions for many years that staff and students look forward to each year.

The sunset choir performed some of their songs and then each grade level has songs they perform, favorites including the fifth grade line dance that has been performed at Sunsets end of the year assembly by fifth graders since the 1990s and the Samoan Sasa by the 4th graders.

Fun fact about the line dance is 3 sunset staff members performed the same line dance when they were students at sunset themselves.

The assembly ends with a video goodbye to fifth graders, all grades being promoted and the fifth graders walk out of school under the rainbow arches held by Sunset teachers.
